The Card Concept Challenge 60 -Chevron Pumpkin

This week at The Card Concept the theme is 'Chevron Pumpkin'. It seems so odd to be looking at gorgeous Autumn colours when here in New Zealand we are seeing the new shoots of Spring.

I really was inspired to do a shabby card with this inspiration photo. I love that Freestyle Collage gives me the freedom to work in any style. For this card, I have bought together wire, metal, florist net, twine, and paper. I love the chevrons so have included embossed and stamped versions of those.
The metal button was very shiny and didn't photograph well so I dabbed it with ink and Versamark to knock the shine off it.

Inspired By All The Little Things #26

When I saw this lovely inspiration photo at Inspired By All The Little Things  I just had to join in.

I love the rustic feel and the earthy colours. I found it quite odd not to colour the flowers and leaves in some way but I felt they were OK as is.

The Card Concept Challenge 59 -SweetTreats

This week at The Card Concept the theme is 'Sweet Treats'. Such gorgeous colours to play with. My fellow design team members have created a diverse range of colourful cards to inspire you so do click on the link to take a look :)

For my card, I swiped a blueish dye ink pad lightly across the white, linen texture background.
I found the texture on the cone very inspiring and I love how the cone acts as a base for the explosion of colourful ice cream. I tried to recreate that using the tag as a base.
The Scribble Flowers are 'blobby' like the scoops of ice cream. I stamped the colour several times using Distress Inks then black stamped the Scribbles. I repeat stamped the Scribbles using Versamark and white embossed. I did dry off the black Versafine ink before using the Versamark and white powder, but obviously not enough, hence the speckled black lines. Using the powder tool between would have prevented that.
