Lesley has chosen another fabulous picture to inspire you this week at The Card Concept. Fresh and Bold describes it very well. Take a look :)
Aside from the colours, what most jumped out at me, were the patterned cushions.
The Orange pattern reminded me of lower case e's repeatedly stamped......so that is what I did! I have several large, foam, Making Memories, alphabet stamp sets (in many fonts) that rarely see the light of day these days, so it was lovely to give one an airing. I stamped, rotated, and stamped again using dye ink. I then cut a partial circle from the piece of card. I love the result and must remember to use this technique again.
The pattern on the pink and white cushion, as far as my old eyes could tell, was made up of horizontal crosses. I have a little 'cross' hand punch, that is years old. I went to town, on a piece of pink board, punching lots of wee crosses. I then glued them down in the pattern you see on my card. Once they were really secure, I guillotined the piece to size.
The dry embossed background was inspired by the white buttoned headboard.
My 1920's lady (from Montarga stamps based in Christchurch, New Zealand) is mirroring the wall art. I coloured her with grey Copics.
This is how I made my Clean and Layered card......now it's your turn :)
