The Paper Players - 128 Colour Challenge

This card challenge really was a challenge for me.
I don't gravitate towards these colors at all.
But they grew on me!
I decided on a masculine card approach so started with the gray base.
I used Bazzill, a little Washi, some Papertrey ink Polka dots, a Cuttlebug Houndstooth embossing folder, the Tim Holtz Gadget Gears die and a paper clip (which I think mirrors the flowing shape of the HA script sentiment).
The Gingham gear is stamped. See below.

This is an old Hero Arts stamp called Background stripes...so useful.

I stamped one way with Memento Bahama Blue.

....and the other way with Danube Blue.
I like the fact that I can make gingham to suit the project.

Thanks for looking at my first real post.
Call again soon.
Take care and happy crafting.

Wonderful!!! I love the way you built up each element. Great tip for creating gingham or plaids, too.

You are off to a great start, Karen. You'll be tweaking it for a while (I still am!) but it'll all come together. Looking forward to seeing more of your work and reading more posts. :-)

This is a great masculine card! And I love your tip on how to make gingham. I'm glad you decided to join us this week at the Paper Players even though these are colors you don't normally use. I think you should use them more if this is your result!
