Make it Girlie with SSS Challenge

This card was made for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge : Make It Girlie.  SSS are showcasing Hero Arts this week so they would like to see cards using their products.
My set is quite old and well used. (See below) The larger leaves come from another Hero Arts flower set.

It's ANZAC day in New Zealand and Australia, a day of remembrance for our fallen heroes.

'Lest we forget'

................They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

They mingle not with their laughing comrades again;
They sit no more at familiar tables of home...................................

Wow! What a beauty! So very nicely done!

Thanks for posting the remembrance poem.
My husband and father were both in the service...

We don't take the service of people serving their
country for granted.

Totally delightful Karen, I love that flower stamp and how you used the dark colour on the edges, it makes it look like it's been die cut.

I love the polka dots on the stamp and think that would be a fun idea to use on other stamped images too!
